Hello everybody!
Here we are. We are sorry we’ve kept you waiting for this first update, but a large part of our team is still going through difficult months, between restrictions and lockdowns. However, everyone, without exception, is making their best to follow the program we settled.
Having completed late pledge operations, our graphics department has begun to give shape and consistency to the Unearthed and Evolved books. However, every day we find a most suitable variation, however small, and improvements that, we see, are going to make the books even better in their design.
Our designers have started shaping their new ideas, which are leading to create the illustrations that will embellish the pages of the two core books. As they have already completed some pieces, we want to share these first pages with you, so that you can see the developments of our creative department. Some illustrations are still in progress, so they will surely be ready during April, while others are passing from the concept to the approval now. Segio Cosmai, Melissa Spandri [reddraws] Giuseppe De Iure, and Katerina Ladon have only started their journey in the Land of the Diamon Throne...
Further, Melissa will appear on a live talk on Twitch ( Wyrd_Tv) on Tuesday 13th, 3pm - 4pm. US is on daylight savings time and the live talk on twitch tomorrow would be 10-11 AM EDT. We know that it will be difficult to come and say ‘hi’, sp you will have the chance to follow the talk later on YouTube.
Rules and Core Books
We can give you some positive feedback, even if the chapters are to be revised and completed. Much of Unearthed has been set - history, geography, and creatures. Evolved has 1\3 of rules and equipment set, while the section about Ceremonies and Magic is being shaped by our Dean and Christopher, who are giving their best. The work on the adventures is underway.
Further, we can already confirm that the XP Cards are finished, as well as the Diamond Throne special dice set. Both productions, being external to us and having to be commissioned to two different companies, will start between April and May. Production times may have considerable variations in general, so we hope to be able to exclude delays beginning the production now. The same can be said for the GM Screen, which, apart from some refinements or internal additions, is almost ready in its graphic composition.

BackerKit and Surveys ready!

Greetings backers!
We hope you are well and happy.
We finally have exciting news for you: BackerKit for Monte Cook’s Diamond Throne RPG is almost ready to go live! However, we will first conduct the smoke test, which is a required step by BackerKit.
During the smoke test, surveys are sent to 5% of backers from each pledge level to ensure we catch any errors in the survey. Once this smoke test has been completed, we'll be able to send surveys to all backers. We expect to send surveys to all backers before Christmas.
We greatly appreciate your support and patience during this period.
We have also started to work on the two corebooks, collecting old and new ideas and deciding the first important steps to follow. We look forward to sharing all the various stages of the work with you.

Thank you so much for all of your support for Monte Cook's Diamond Throne. We here at Here Be Dragons Games can say this first campaign was really special. In fact, it allows us to work with talented designers, artists, and friends, and your response was tremendous. Thank you so much for your enthusiastic support, to encourage and trust us, especially in these anxious times. Thanks to all the Facebook Groups that supported us during the campaign—spreading the word and maintaining enthusiasm was critical to the campaign's success, and you came through for us in a very big way. We think you will all be really happy with Diamond Throne, and with all the wonderful rewards we unlocked along the way.
I’ve got some critical info for you, but first I’d like to thank the members of Team MCG, who all helped make this campaign a success:
Monte, of course, created the fascinating world of Diamond Throne in the first place, and trusts us to bring his vision to fruition in the Cypher System. Charles and Tammie kept an eye on this campaign, and gave us support and advice to help us to achieve this fantastic result. Shanna, Bear, Darcy, Jennifer, Bruce, and Sean were very supportive and encouraging throughout the campaign. Team MCG has been incredibly energized by your enthusiastic response to Diamond Throne, and are excited to see the rewards we’ve funded through this campaign. We give our heartfelt thanks to all of them for their help and support.
Thanks to our talented, passionate team at Here Be Dragons Games, and all the incredible designers, writers and artists who helped us with ideas and materials for the campaign, and who will now pour their talents into bringing the world of the Diamond Throne to life.
And last, but not at all least, thanks to you, the many veteran Diamond Throne fans and those just discovering this new game, for backing this campaign. You make all of this possible, and we will never lose sight of that.
Here’s what to expect as we move forward from here.
This Evening and the Next Few Days
Running Kickstarter campaigns is rewarding in many ways, and we have greatly enjoyed interacting with you through these updates, the comments, social media, and so on. But it’s also a brutally hectic challenge to administer it all. And let’s not forget the pandemic, which hasn’t affected company operations directly, but lays its stresses on all of us.
So, as we often do after Kickstarter campaigns wind down, we’re taking a short break.
Don’t expect to hear much from us this weekend, or in the week or two ahead of us. If you have questions, feel free to send a Kickstarter message, but don’t be concerned if you don’t get a response right away. Production of Monte Cook's Diamond Throne will take many months, and the other unlocked products will take even longer. There isn’t anything that can’t wait for a few days. But don’t worry—we will get back to you.
The Next Few Weeks
Kickstarter begins collecting pledges the moment the campaign closes. But it takes Kickstarter a full two weeks to release those funds, along with the data on our backers.
In the meantime, we will get BackerKit fully set up so we can open it when we have that data. BackerKit is a third-party platform that lets you confirm all the information we need to fulfill your pledge. If there are add-ons you’ve missed, or if you decide to increase your reward level, you can do that through BackerKit as well. You’ll be notified when we open BackerKit.
NOTE: Signing into BackerKit is vital to getting your rewards. Kickstarter does NOT provide us with the information we need to fulfill your rewards; we MUST gather it from you after the campaign. If you don’t respond to your BackerKit survey, we can’t send you any rewards!
The Next Few Months
Once you’ve done your BackerKit survey, we won’t need anything else from you until it’s time to start fulfilling rewards. We’ll be busy crafting the products and rewards you will be receiving in the months to come.
At times during this period, you won't hear from us, maybe for a couple of months. Don’t worry if that happens. But at the same time, please pay attention when you do get communications from us. Our emails and Kickstarter updates include critical information about your rewards.

When Your Rewards Ship
When a reward is ready for you, MCG will contact you by email to begin the fulfillment process. Generally, they'll direct you to the MCG Shop, where you’ll log in, “buy” the product (for free with a coupon, because you’ve already paid for it through Kickstarter), and check out. This is an important part of the process because it ensures they have accurate delivery information for every item they send out. (With thousands of backers getting rewards, it's amazing how many people will change their address over the fulfillment period.) You'll pay for shipping when you redeem your reward(s). Please make sure you're paying attention to communications from them—don't let their messages go to your spam folder, or otherwise ignore them, because if you do you could miss out on some of your rewards.
